Yoga & Psychotherapy

Online

To heal is not to be free of pain,

but to be free to live the truth of my experience, exactly as it is

Why are Yoga and Psychotherapy integrated?

The practice of yoga is the foundation of therapy.
Conscious movement and breath reconnect us with the body, the source of our innate wisdom.
From that embodied connection, therapeutic conversation emerges from a place that is alive and not purely intellectual. Here we can meet what hurts, repeats, and is asking to be transformed.

Core principles of this approach:

  • Wholeness is not something we attain, it is our starting point.

  • We are the expression of life’s wisdom.

  • The breath connects mind and body. from there, the mind makes sense.

  • Change isn’t about becoming someone new — it’s about showing up to who you already are.

An extract from The Fourth Sign of the Zodiac

“I know, you never intended to be in this world. But you’re in it all the same.

So why not get started immediately? I mean, belonging to it.

There is so much to admire, to weep over. And to write music or poems about.

Bless the feet that take you to and fro. Bless the eyes and the listening ears.

Bless the tongue, the marvel of taste. Bless touching.

You could live a hundred years, it’s happened. Or not.

I am speaking from the fortunate platform of many years, none of which, I think, I ever wasted.

Do you need a prod? Do you need a little darkness to get you going?

Let me be as urgent as a knife, then, and remind you of Keats,

so single of purpose and thinking, for a while, he had a lifetime.”
